Clinical Research
Gastroenterology Associates is proud to offer cutting edge research trials as an option to our patients.
What is a clinical trial?
A clinical trial is a study of an investigational medicine or product. The purpose of the clinical trial is to test whether the new medicine or product can be approved by the FDA and other agencies as a possible treatment for a condition or disease. For even more information about clinical research studies, check this out.
Why should I consider participating in a clinical research trial?
Participants in clinical trials are essential to advancing our understanding of a disease and potential modes of treatment. Not all people are eligible to participate in clinical trials, and your study doctor and research team will carefully assess your condition and your history to determine if you might be eligible. Clinical trial participants receive study medication and care at no additional cost.
We’re currently enrolling clinical trials in the following areas.
● A study for patients with NASH and Fibrosis.
● We may also conduct additional trials throughout the year including studies for Fatty Liver Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s Disease, IBS, Constipation, GERD and more.
For more information about specific clinical trials please ask your provider. Your provider may put you in contact with a member of our research team.
