Sara Herbst is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner that speaks Spanish & English. She looks forward to working as your teammate to improve your GI health! She joined Gastroenterology Associates in 2024 with experience in Emergency, Public Health, and Women's Health nursing since 2010. Sara earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia, Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in Nursing & Healthcare Administration, and a Post-Master's Certificate in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Marymount University. She has worked as a Registered Nurse in a clinic at the Texas-Mexico border, in urban and suburban hospitals, and in outpatient healthcare settings. She grew up in a big family in Northern Virginia and lives with her two daughters and a dog in Chantilly. Outside the office, Sara enjoys serving as a Cub Scout leader, running, and playing games.
